Lucknow, Nov. 24 -- The annual convention of the All India Shia Personal Law Board will be held on December 28, at the historic Asafi Imambada, in Lucknow. A large number of prominent clerics, community representatives, and Board officials from across the country will participate in this important convention. Important issues such as the current situation of Shia Muslims, their rights, and the protection of Waqf properties will be discussed. Outlining the convention, Board general secretary Maulana Yasoob Abbas said that this meeting will prove to be an important step in addressing the challenges faced by the community. "Millions of Shia Muslims across the country feel neglected in education, employment, and government schemes. This convention is an opportunity to strengthen the fight for our rights," he said. "The demand for the formation of a separate committee, similar to the Sachar Committee, to assess the social and economic conditions of Shia Muslims will be a key focus."...
