Lucknow, Aug. 15 -- Wednesday's rain brought massive power outages in its wake, reported from multiple areas due to substation and feeder breakdowns across the region. Several key substations and feeders failed as the heavy downpour battered the power infrastructure, leaving thousands of residents in darkness for hours. Among the worst affected areas were Ajay Nagar, Kamta, Chinhat, Rajnikhand, Sharda Nagar, and Basantkunj where power supply remained affected for four hours. Power supply was severely impacted in Hussainganj, where the Ghazipur feeder failed, and in Khurram Nagar, where the Shrishti substation also suffered a breakdown for four hours. The 33 kV line at Integral Substation remained under fault for over four hours, while a five-hour outage was reported from areas under the Pahadpur feeder. In Jankipuram, residents along the 60-Foot Road faced power disruptions for over five hours due to issues with the 11 kV line, while Ahibaranpur experienced a trip on the 33 kV line. The Gohnakala feeder also failed, submerging entire localities like Tiwaripur, Kotwaroad, Bhuiyan Devi Mandir, Muslim Nagar, Naveshwar Nagar, and Prayagnagar in darkness for five hours. htc...
