Lucknow, Nov. 19 -- A seminar was held on Tuesday at the JK Auditorium of Lucknow University to mark the eve of warrior queen Rani Laxmibai's birth anniversary. The event was organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Lucknow Mahanagar. ABVP national minister Shalini Verma addressed the gathering. She said that during the 1857 Revolution, Rani Laxmibai encouraged women to take part in nation-building. Verma spoke about the annual Haldi Kunku festival at the Ganesh Temple in Jhansi, where women from all backgrounds came together.
