LUCKNOW, Aug. 12 -- BJP's state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh on Monday called for promoting Swadeshi products to help India become the world's third-largest economy. Addressing the party's Vyapar Prakoshth (traders' cell), he urged traders to sell only locally made goods and back the 'Make in India' and 'Local to Vocal' initiatives. Singh said trade conclaves, gatherings, and district-level conferences featuring state and central leaders will be held from August 15 onwards. State in-charge Om Prakash Shrivastava announced the launch of a 'Swadeshi Jagran Abhiyan' from August to November to raise awareness among traders about government welfare schemes.
