Seized Atiq Ahmed's land illegally plotted, sold in Prayagraj
PRAYAGRAJ, Dec. 20 -- A case of illegal encroachment, plotting and sale of land seized five years ago under the Gangsters Act from Atiq Ahmed has surfaced in Prayagraj. The accused allegedly even removed the court order notice board from the land in Nasirpur Silna, under the Dhoomanganj PS area.
Dhoomanganj police station SHO Rajesh Upadhyay has filed an FIR against two people, including a woman, at the Airport police station.
According to the FIR, 0.8570 hectares of land in Nasirpur Silna, purchased by Atiq Ahmed with money earned through illegal activities, was seized in December 2020 on court orders under a Gangsters Act case registered at Dhoomanganj police station. A court order had been installed on the land, but during a site inspection, the seizure notice was found missing.
It is alleged that Keshav Singh, director of Achla Infrastate Private Limited and a resident of Mumfordganj, in collusion with Khushnuma of Nasirpur Silna, concealed material facts and, without a legal partition or amendment of the mutation order in Atiq Ahmed's name, carried out plotting and registration of the land in favour of the firm.
The accused also allegedly failed to obtain approval from the Prayagraj Development Authority. A named FIR has been registered against Keshav Singh and Khushnuma at the Airport police station.
Three people have been arrested for allegedly shooting a man dead in Rajapur Kachaar late on Thursday evening.
Police said Akash Soni (21), alias Golu, was in Kachaar on Thursday evening, a short distance from his house, with some acquaintances when he was shot dead. The bullet was fired from behind, striking him in the head, after which the youths who were with him fled the scene.
Akash's family members informed the police. The police took Akash to SRN Hospital where he was declared dead.
During the inspection of the crime scene, the police found a firearm in a nearby bush.
On Friday, police arrested five named accused in the case including Aryan alias Dhiru, Himanshu Bhardwaj, Vishal Pandey, Rahul Rajbhar, all residents of Rajapur locality while the fifth accused Krishna Yadav is a resident of Colonelganj locality in Prayagraj.
The sixth absconding accused Harsh Pandey, resident of Salori locality, had fired at the deceased.
As per the DCP, the accused were present with the victim at the time of the incident and are being questioned by the police, while teams have been formed to nab Harsh....
