LUCKNOW, July 3 -- Taekwondo exponents of the SAI NSRC Lucknow made India proud, winning a gold and a silver medal at the World Police Fire Games at Birmingham. Seema Kannaujia and Madhur Singh, who are serving Uttar Pradesh Police and part of the National Centre of Excellence at SAI, Lucknow, won gold in 49kg and a silver Medal in the 67 kg category, respectively. A four-wicket haul by Abhishek Kaushal helped Dhruv Cricket Academy (DCA) beat LDA Coaching Centre (LDACC) by 71 runs to make it to the final of the 18th Timber Trophy here on Wednesday. In another semi-final of the day, North Eastern Railway (NER) defeated Akhil Infra Cricket Club (AICC) by 24 runs through VJD method after the rain abandoned the match.
