Security upped in Ayodhya for Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha
AYODHYA, June 3 -- District and police administration in Ayodhya have put in place foolproof security for the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Darbar on the first floor of Ram Mandir on June 5. Three-day celebrations will begin on June 3 and the consecration ceremony will be held on June 5 where chief minister Yogi Adityanath will be the chief guest.
"The aim is to implement security and make arrangements while considering the convenience of the public and devotees," Ayodhya DM Nikhil Tikaram Funde said.
"In view of the event, anti-terrorist squad (ATS) commandos on Monday evening took charge of security of the temple complex, classified as a red zone, with half-a-dozen armoured vehicles. A plan for round-the-clock surveillance has been devised as per which commandos have been assigned duties in three shifts," Ayodhya SSP Gaurav Grover said.
Both the DM and the SSP conducted a detailed inspection of various areas, sensitive points, and entry routes in Ayodhya on Monday night. The district and the police administration are also coordinating with Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust to ensure security. Along with Ram Darbar, idols of several deities will also be installed amid Vedic rituals in other temples that have been constructed on the Ram Janmabhoomi campus.
