Security beefed up as temple-mausoleum row escalates
KANPUR, Aug. 11 -- A dispute over whether a centuries-old structure in Abunagar, Fatehpur, is a Hindu temple or a mausoleum escalated on Sunday, prompting the district administration to heighten security in the area. BJP district president Mukhlal Pal released a video message, urging people to assemble at the site on Monday morning. Several leaders from the VHP and Bajrang Dal also issued similar appeals.
