PRAYAGRAJ, May 9 -- With the aim of making the process more transparent, the scrutiny of UP Board's high school and intermediate answer sheets will now also be done under the surveillance of CCTV camera, said Board officials aware of the move. In previous years, the scrutiny of answer sheets was done in respective regional offices of the Board, but at times with the candidates not satisfied with the outcome of re-evaluation used to go a step further and approach the court by filing petitions against the Board. In such a case, in many instances on the instructions issued by the court, the Board used to get the answer sheets of respective candidate checked by experts of the particular subject at the university. To avoid such a complex situation getting repeated, the Board has changed the system this time. For re-evaluation, a panel of subject experts has been formed in UP Board's regional offices of Prayagraj, Meerut, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Bareilly, said UP Board secretary Bhagwati Singh. These experts will check the answer sheets under the surveillance of CCTV cameras and if there is a mistake in giving or adding marks of any candidate, the error would be rectified and a revised result would be released, he added. May 19 is the last date for submitting applications for scrutiny of UP Board Class 10, 12 answer sheets 2025. Every year, the result of scrutiny is declared by June 10. After declaring results of Class 10 and 12 on April 25, the UP Board had sought online applications for scrutiny or re-evaluation from those candidates who desired improvement in their results. The UP Board high school and intermediate examinations were conducted between February 24 and March 12, 2025, at 8140 centres across the state on 13 working days....
