Scouts and guides Jamboree in UP after 61 yrs
LUCKNOW, Sept. 23 -- After a gap of 61 years, Uttar Pradesh will host the 19th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides-a week-long mega camp bringing together thousands of youths from India and abroad. Scheduled from November 23 to 29 in Lucknow's Vrindavan Scheme, the event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 24, a government spokesperson said on Monday.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will preside over the event.
The first Jamboree in India was organised in Hyderabad in 1953, while UO hosted the fourth edition in Prayagraj in 1964. HTC...
