Scouts' camp to be tech haven with robotics, digital streaming
LUCKNOW, Nov. 13 -- The 19th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides will also be a landmark from a technological perspective.
For the first time, participants will receive real-time notifications through digital live streaming, RFID-based smart ID cards, and a WhatsApp communication system.
Additionally, during the two-day drone show, hundreds of drones will collectively portray the story of Scouting and youth empowerment. An IT and AI hub is being established at the venue to encourage innovation and leadership skills among youth, said Prabhat Kumar, a retired IAS officer, who is the state chief commissioner for Scouts and Guides.
To be held from November 23 to 29 at the Defence Expo Ground in Vrindavan Yojana, workshops on digital learning, innovation, and leadership will be held as well. Efforts will be made to connect Scouts with modern technologies through education, robotics, and a science expo, he said.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to present this event as a showcase of the state's culture, tradition, and innovation. He recently reviewed preparations and directed officials to include state-specific exhibitions at the Expo grounds, including the Global Village, the 75 Years of Scouting Exhibition, the Air Agniveer, Robotics, Solar, and Army pavilions, a spokesperson said.
Kumar said, "This event is not only a celebration of the Scouting tradition, but will also symbolise the youth leadership, discipline, and spirit of national service in a developed India."...
