Science exhibitions to mark Dr Kalam's birth anniv in UP madrasas
LUCKNOW, Oct. 14 -- Science exhibitions and seminars will be organised in all madrasas across Uttar Pradesh to mark the 94th birth anniversary of former President Bharat Ratna APJ Abdul Kalam on Wednesday (October 15).
Minister of state for minority welfare, Muslim Waqf and Haj, Danish Azad Ansari, in a letter to the principal secretary minority welfare, said the purpose of celebrating the occasion on a large scale was to increase students' interest in science and technology.
"Science exhibitions will be organised in all madrasas on the occasion in which students will present their scientific models and projects.
Seminars will also be organised based on the achievements made by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in the field of science and technology," Ansari said.
He also directed to invite local public representatives to the event and make arrangements to honour students who excel in the science exhibition. "Dr Kalam's life is an inspiration for every student. His vision of science, technology and humanity serves as a guiding light towards nation-building," the minister said....
