Lucknow, May 20 -- The summer camp workshops beginning at Regional Science City here on Tuesday look to teach youngsters about coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, and electronics among other things, project coordinator Swaroop Mandal said. The official said the attempt was to teach students not just scientific principles but also modern-day science. Mandal said three summer camps would be held for students from classes 3 to 12. The first one will be held from May 20 to 24, the second from May 27 to 31 and the third from June 3 to 9. All the workshops will be held between 10 am and 1 pm. "In the first camp, students from classes 3 to 5 can take part in 'exploring science with creativity'; those from classes 6 to 8 can choose between 'scientific toy making', 'fun with biology' and 'robotics and artificial intelligence'; 'fun with mechanical systems' will be open for those from classes 9 to 12," said Mandal. Similar topics, and more, will be taught in the other two camps as well. "While the participation fee for 'robotics and artificial intelligence, 'electronics -coding' and 'fun with mechanical system; will be Rs 1500, candidates are required to pay Rs 1,000 for other courses. The 'know Your herbs' workshop is available for Rs 500, and is open for all, during the second and third camps," Project coordinator Swaroop Mandal....
