GORAKHPUR, June 29 -- A 38-year-old school manager was allegedly murdered on Saturday morning inside the campus of his newly constructed junior high school in Fatehpur village, under Rudrapur police station limits in Deoria district, police said. As news of the incident spread, local residents gathered in large numbers at the scene. Police and a forensic team reached the spot and began an investigation. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and residents are being questioned as part of the probe. Superintendent of police (Deoria) Vikrant Veer Singh said, "The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Two teams have been deployed to investigate the case from all possible angles." Injury marks were found on Pal's face, head, and neck. An axe believed to have been used in the attack was recovered from the scene and sent for forensic examination. Pal, a resident of Ramnagar in Deoria, had recently established a junior high school on his land. An FIR has been registered based on a complaint lodged by his wife.
