Varanasi, Dec. 11 -- The Sage Agastya Vehicle Expedition (SAVE), a historic car rally under Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0, reached Varanasi on Wednesday. Participants were welcomed at Namo Ghat by divisional commissioner S Rajalingam, reflecting the enthusiasm surrounding the event. Organised by the union ministry of education, SAVE aims to highlight India's cultural, spiritual, and linguistic unity. The rally of 15-20 cars and about 100 participants covered 2,460 km, following the historic route of Maharishi Agastya and emphasising Tamil Nadu's contribution to India's knowledge traditions. Beginning on December 2, the rally crossed nine states before culminating in Kashi. Participants described the journey as a "unique and enriching experience". Team SAVE visited the Nivartheeswarar Temple, Chidambaram Natarajar Temple, and received blessings from Vijayendra Swami at Sankara Madam, which added spiritual strength to the expedition. Travelling through villages, towns, and cities, the team was warmly welcomed by people from diverse backgrounds. The rally also promoted Siddha wellness, highlighting preventive healthcare and holistic living. Under Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0, several events are being held to strengthen cultural ties between Kashi and Tamil Nadu. The rally honoured Pandiyan ruler Adi Veera Parakrama Pandiyan and showcased the heritage of the Chera, Chola, Pandya, Pallava, Chalukya, and Vijayanagara periods, along with classical Tamil literature and shared traditions....
