LUCKNOW, Dec. 22 -- Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh on Sunday outlined a Rs.100-crore vision to develop the Lucknow Golf Club into a national-level, world-class golfing facility. He called for coordinated efforts by the government, industry, corporate social responsibility initiatives, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and club members, and announced a personal contribution of Rs.10 lakh to kick-start the initiative. Addressing the valedictory ceremony of the 10th CII-UP Golf Tournament, Dr Singh said he has been associated with the Lucknow Golf Club for over two decades and believes it has the potential to rank among the country's finest courses. The tournament witnessed the participation of over 240 players. He also underscored the need for a world-class 18-hole golf course in Lucknow, linking it to rapid urban development in Sarojini Nagar.
