Sarnath police nab three for forgery
VARANASI, Nov. 20 -- Sarnath police arrested three fraudsters, including two women, accused of preparing forged documents on the pretext of investing in a fake company and extorting money from the victims.
While one of the accused was arrested on November 16, two others were arrested on Wednesday.
Assistant commissioner of police Sarnath, Vidush Saxena said a police team arrested Rajendra Prasad Jaiswar alias Soti, 50, a resident of Nashik city in Maharashtra and two accused women on Wednesday.
The identity of the women accused has not been disclosed yet.
Three ATM cards, one laptop, three Aadhaar cards, one PAN card, a chequebook, five mobile phones, and a fake seal were recovered from the accused.
Further legal action is being taken by the Sarnath police.
On January 19, a person filed a complaint alleging that a man cheated him in the name of making an investment in a fake company.
Based on this, a case was registered at the Sarnath Police Station under relevant sections and the accused were nabbed....
