LUCKNOW, Dec. 4 -- Finance minister Suresh Khanna said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel stood as a symbol of determination and unwavering patriotism when India was confronted with princely states, conflicts, and instability after independence. "Through his political wisdom and iron will, Sardar Patel unified 562 princely states without war or violence," Khanna said at the conclusion of a 'Unity March' organised by the BJP in Lucknow, commemorating Patel's 150th birth anniversary. The event witnessed participation from thousands of citizens, especially youth. According to BJP media in-charge Praveen Garg, the march began at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose College in Aliganj and passed through Sahu Agency Chauraha, Nehru Bal Vatika, Niralnagar, Daliganj Crossing, Hasanganj Kotwali, Atul Chauraha and Panna Lal Road Market before culminating at Ramadhin Singh Lawn.
