LUCKNOW, Nov. 13 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to run the 'Zero Poverty Campaign' in mission mode and complete verification under its first phase by November 15 and the second phase by November 30, according to a statement issued by the state government on Wednesday. The chief minister said the first phase of the campaign would ensure complete coverage of seven priority welfare schemes -- ration cards, disability pensions, widow pensions, old-age pensions, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (Ayushman Bharat). He instructed officials to complete the coverage of all beneficiaries under these schemes by November 15, while verification for the second phase must be finished by November 30. Chief minister Yogi said a month-long special drive should be launched to identify all eligible beneficiaries who have not yet received benefits under these schemes. "The primary objective of the Zero Poverty Campaign is to ensure that every eligible family receives the benefits of government welfare schemes," the statement quoted the chief minister as saying. The chief minister also directed that applications for identified families under the Prime Minister's or Chief Minister's Housing Scheme be facilitated and that the names of all family members be included on the ration card.
