Rudrapur, July 28 -- Rumours of drones being used by suspects at night for theft and loot have triggered panic across several villages near the Uttar Pradesh border in Udham Singh Nagar district. Responding to growing concerns, the district police have imposed a ban on flying drones without prior permission. Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Manikant Mishra on Sunday said that though no incident of theft or loot involving drones has been reported, the situation is being closely monitored. While clarifying that drone flying is "not entirely banned", he warned that drones flown without informing the local police station will be seized and legal action will be taken against the operators....
