PRAYAGRAJ, July 7 -- A heated argument took place between members of two communities over the placement of a Tazia during the Muharram procession, in Pratapgarh's Derwa area on Sunday, police said. Despite prior agreement between the elders of the two communities, some argued that the Tazia should be placed in the barricaded area near a temple. This led to people coming to loggerheads over the issue. However, the timely intervention of police and the barricades being moved helped in pacifying the situation. A PAC company was deployed in the market when the ruckus was taking place. CO (Sadar) Karishma Gupta also reached the spot where the Tajiadars were protesting. Hundreds gathered, and after a long discussion and argument, the police moved the barricades after which the Muharram programme recommenced....
