Rs.98.63 cr road projects to ease traffic in Vibhuti Khand, Chinhat
Lucknow, Aug. 29 -- To combat traffic congestion and enhance road safety, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has launched two major road development projects worth Rs 98.63 crore under the Chief Minister Green Road Infrastructure Development Scheme (Urban) - CM Grids Phase-2.
Mayor Sushma Kharkwal laid the foundation stone for both projects on Thursday, calling them a turning point for the city's infrastructure and a major relief for residents.
"Vibhuti Khand and Chinhat are among the busiest areas of the capital, with thousands of vehicles passing through daily. Narrow and unorganised roads in these localities often result in traffic jams and accidents. These integrated development projects will not only ease congestion but also ensure smoother and safer commuting for everyone," the Mayor said.
The Vibhuti Khand road upgradation worth Rs 61.37 crore focuses on the upgradation of key road stretches in Vibhuti Khand.
