LUCKNOW, March 27 -- A courier consignment worth around Rs.2.30 lakh dispatched from a warehouse in Sarojini Nagar went missing in transit, police said on Thursday. The incident led to the registration of an FIR and an investigation into the matter is underway. According to police, the complaint was filed by Vinay Panchal, an operations manager at a Noida-based private company. As per Panchal, the consignment was sent on February 23 through a private courier service from the company's warehouse in Transport Nagar to Machhlishahr. Panchal told police that he was informed on March 12 that the consignment had gone missing during transit. He said he made several attempts to contact the courier company to trace the shipment, but received no concrete information. The courier firm later declared the consignment as lost.
