LUCKNOW, May 22 -- The state government has proposed the construction of a new spiritual corridor in Ayodhya, named Bharat Path, which will connect Bharat Kund, a site associated with Lord Ram's brother Bharat, to the growing network of pilgrimage routes in the temple town. Estimated to cost Rs 900 crore, the 20-km-long Bharat Path will start at the Ranopali railway crossing on Ram Path and extend to Bharat Kund via Vidya Kund and Darshan Nagar along the Prayagraj Highway. The Public Works Department has submitted the proposal for approval, according to a state government press statement released on Wednesday. "The project will further enhance access for pilgrims and deepen their spiritual journey through Ayodhya," said a state government spokesperson. "Bharat Path is designed to complement the existing religious routes such as Ram Path, Bhakti Path, and Janmabhoomi Path." Currently a two-lane stretch, Bharat Path will be widened to include 9-metre lanes on either side, along with a 2.5-metre central divider. "To manage the increasing number of devotees, work is also underway on widening the Panchkosi and Chaudashkosi Parikrama routes," the spokesperson added.htc...
