Bahraich, March 16 -- A sub-inspector of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) died in a road accident on Sunday morning in Bahraich district. The deceased officer has been identified as Virendra Kumar Singh ,55, who was posted as a sub-inspector in the RPF in Bahraich. He was travelling on his motorcycle to the district headquarters to report for duty when the accident occurred. According to the police, the incident took place near the Jhingha Ghat bypass under the Ramgaon Police Station area, Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, India. An out-of-control bus reportedly rammed into Singh's motorcycle, leaving him critically injured. After receiving information about the accident, a police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured officer to the district hospital. However, doctors declared him dead after examination. Singh, a native of Achauliya village under Ranipur police station, lived with his family in Saraswati Nagar in Bahraich's Dehat Kotwali area.
