RPF inspector saves woman's life at Prayagraj JUNCTION
PRAYAGRAJ, Dec. 17 -- A woman passenger narrowly escaped a fatal accident at Prayagraj Junction due to the alertness and prompt action of the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when the woman was attempting to board a moving train.
According to officials, the incident took place around 12.15 pm when Train No. 12987, the Ajmer Superfast Express, was at Prayagraj Junction. RPF Inspector Amit Kumar Meena, who was on routine patrol duty at the station, noticed a woman passenger losing her balance while trying to board coach number S-5 of the moving train.
Sensing the danger, inspector Meena immediately rushed towards the train and managed to grab the woman and pull her to safety, thereby averting a major mishap. The rescued passenger was later identified as Fauzia Bano, daughter of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Jasra under the Ghoorpur police station limits of Prayagraj. She was travelling from Prayagraj to Ajmer.
After the incident, RPF personnel ensured that the woman was seated safely and provided her with first aid. The officials also used the opportunity to warn passengers present on the platform about the dangers of boarding or alighting from moving trains.
The RPF Inspector further informed that the woman's husband was running behind the train carrying their child in his arms. He was later sent to Ajmer by another train, he added....
