Haridwar, April 14 -- A controversy erupted in Haridwar after a group claiming to be former Muslims organised a religious procession under the banner of "Poorv Muslim Dharmik Yatra" and performed rituals at Har Ki Pauri, drawing objections from office bearers of Ganga Sabha. On Monday, Sant Ram Vishal Das, a seer associated with the Ramanand sect, addressed a press conference and criticised the office bearers of the Ganga Sabha for opposing the procession. He said the yatra was organised by people who claimed to have embraced Sanatan Dharma and had arrived on foot from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.
