Roses, gladioli bloom at show; 510 entries on display
Lucknow, Jan. 25 -- A wide variety of roses and gladioli is on display at the Central Lawn of National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) during the Rose and Gladiolus show which began on Saturday.
The lawns remained buzzing with people from all walks of life throughout the day.
Visitors took a leisurely stroll and clicked photographs during the flower show, which was organised by the council of scientific and industrial research (CSIR) -NBRI. It was inaugurated by Prof Pradeep Kumar Joshi, chairperson, national testing agency, New Delhi, in the presence of Radha Rangarajan, director, CSIR-CDRI, and AK Shasany, director, CSIR-NBRI.
The show will remain open on Sunday from 10 am to 5.30 pm.
This year, the show received a total of 510 entries, which were exhibited by 73 exhibitors from Lucknow and outstations, informed CSIR-NBRI spokesperson Rajat Raj Rastogi.HTC...
