LUCKNOW, July 22 -- A second emergency operation theatre and a skill lab were on Monday inaugurated at the obstetrics and gynaecology department of Ram Prakash Gupta Mother and Child Referral Hospital affiliated with Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), according to a press release. "Lohia Institute is committed to providing excellent maternal and child health services in the state. Considering the ever-increasing number of patients and the need for emergency deliveries, the establishment of this second OT will enable patients to receive prompt and accessible services. It is also a strong initiative towards reducing maternal and infant mortality rates," said RMLIMS director Prof CM Singh who opened both the facilities. The new skill lab will elevate the quality of training, practice, and assessment for students. This state-of-the-art facility will provide the students with simulation-based practice opportunities, the press release said.
