LUCKNOW, Oct. 25 -- The Railways administration has stepped up its preparations for the Chhath Puja festival, focusing on passenger safety and crowd management. On Friday, senior Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials along with railway administration officials inspected the CCTV control room at Charbagh Railway Station's platform number one. The officials reviewed the security arrangements and crowd management measures. Sharing details with the media, RPF inspector Bhupendra Singh said the railway administration has increased surveillance through CCTV cameras installed in the station premises and surrounding areas. He said additional wireless sets and loudhailers have been deployed to facilitate better coordination among security forces and provide essential information to passengers. He said RPF and railway staff have been assigned extra duties to manage the crowd, and patrolling has been increased to monitor passenger movement. Charbagh Northern Railway station director Prashant Kumar emphasized that passenger safety is the top priority. "The railway, RPF, and Government Railway Police (GRP) are working together to ensure a safe and smooth travel experience for passengers," he said and added, "The CCTV control room is closely monitoring all activities, and any suspicious person or activity will be dealt with immediately".
