LUCKNOW, Dec. 24 -- The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) on Monday celebrated the birth anniversary of the late PM Chaudhary Charan Singh to underline its growing organisational strength and expanding political footprint in Uttar Pradesh. The day-long programme at the party's state headquarters in Lucknow reflected not only ideological commitment but also increasing mobilisation across party fronts, including youth, women, professionals and traders. On the occasion, senior leaders and party workers paid tribute at the farmer leader's statue. RLD state president Dr Ramashish Rai, national general secretary Anil Dubey and other office-bearers participated in the event. A key highlight of the programme was a conference on the relevance of Chaudhary Charan Singh's ideology in present-day politics. Addressing the gathering, Ramashish Rai said the RLD is steadily strengthening its base by reconnecting farmers, rural communities and youth with issues of livelihood, justice and dignity.
