Lucknow, Dec. 11 -- Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) national general secretary Anil Dubey met state chief electoral officer Navdeep Rinwa on Wednesday to highlight the difficulties arising during the ongoing voter list revision drive. Dubey requested that the deadline for the campaign be extended to December 31. Dubey informed the CEO that many voters' forms were yet to be completed and booth-level officers were facing practical challenges in carrying out the revision work, making an extension necessary. He also demanded financial assistance for the families of booth-level officers who died during the campaign in Uttar Pradesh.
