RLD observes 38th death anniversary
Lucknow, May 30 -- The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) on Thursday observed the 38th death anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh at the party's state headquarters.
Chaudhary Charan Singh was remembered for his lifelong dedication to the rights and welfare of farmers, Dalits, backward classes and the underprivileged.
The event began with a ceremonial Havan and floral tributes to the statue of Chaudhary Charan Singh located within the party office premises. RLD national general secretary Anil Dubey, along with other senior party leaders, led the tributes.
Following the rituals, party leaders and workers marched to the state assembly, chanting slogans of "Chaudhary Charan Singh Amar Rahein" (Long live Chaudhary Charan Singh). There, they paid homage to the statue of the late leader at the Assembly's main entrance.
Addressing a gathering at the party office, Anil Dubey lauded Chaudhary Charan Singh's contributions to Indian politics and society.
"He devoted his life to upholding Indian values and empowering rural India. His legacy continues to inspire everyone involved in public life," Dubey said....
