RISE 2.0 begins at MNNIT to upskill Navodaya teachers
PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 8 -- The teacher training programme, Redefining Innovative Strategies in Education (RISE) 2.0, commenced at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT)-Allahabad on Monday.
The initiative aims to empower teachers from PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) with innovative, technology-driven classroom practices aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.Organised by MNNIT-Allahabad, the five-day residential programme is sponsored by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti and the National Navodaya Leadership Institute (NNLI), under the ministry of education, government of India.
Inaugurating the event, Prof Rama Shankar Verma, director of MNNIT-Allahabad, said the initiative underscores "India's focus on preparing teachers who can make learning both innovative and humane."
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Prof PK Srivastava, former deputy director, CDRI-Lucknow; Prof Shivesh Sharma; Sameer Srivastava; and Manisha Sachan, head of the department of biotechnology at MNNIT.
