Rudrapur, Oct. 2 -- The Nainital district magistrate has suspended a revenue sub-inspector after an audio clip of him allegedly demanding bribes from people seeking land-related documents surfaced on social media. Officials said the officer, identified as Prakash Chandra Devtalla, posted at Ramgarh tehsil, was heard in the viral clip asking for bribes ranging from Rs.25,000 to Rs.50,000 for preparing and providing land documents. District magistrate Vandana, confirming the action, said, "An audio of a revenue sub-inspector had gone viral on social media in which he was heard demanding bribes.
