Mussoorie, Oct. 17 -- A restaurant worker was booked on Thursday after a video surfaced on social media, purportedly depicting him allegedly spitting on tandoori roti dough while cooking at a restaurant in Uttarkashi market, police said. The clip sparked protests by Hindu organisations and locals, demanding action against the accused. The clip was reportedly recorded on Tuesday at Uttarkashi's Zayka Restaurant, and the accused, Adnan, who arrived in Uttarkashi only around a week prior to the incident, was subsequently detained, said police officers aware of the matter. The contents of the clip could not be independently verified by HT.
