LUCKNOW, July 18 -- A real estate company has lodged an FIR with Gomti Nagar Extension police accusing a landowner of misappropriating Rs.25 lakh after failing to transfer land despite receiving advance payment. According to the complaint filed by Sharad Kumar Singh, Managing Director of Real Virasat Infracarch Pvt Ltd, the company is developing a multi-storey project named Virasat Uday Grand on plot number 426 in Baghamau, Sector-6, Gomti Nagar Extension. The project, approved by the LDA on February 4, 2022, is also part of an MoU signed during the Global Investors' Summit for an investment of Rs.100 crore. Singh alleged that on November 1, 2022, the company paid Rs.10 lakh, followed by Rs.15 lakh on November 10, 2022, to Ram Sagar Yadav, son of Jiya Lal, a resident of Baghamau, for purchasing 7,000 sq ft of land. Despite receiving the amount, Yadav neither executed the land transfer nor returned the money.
