Real-time vigil to manage jamboree footfall
Lucknow, Nov. 21 -- A dedicated police station and eight police outposts have been set up inside the national jamboree campus, to manage the large footfall.
Two of these are all-women outposts, focused on providing assistance and safety support to girls and women participants, said police commissioner Amrendra Kumar Sengar.
"A modern control room equipped with over 400 CCTV cameras will monitor movements round the clock, enabling real-time crowd and security analysis. A dedicated radio control system will further ensure seamless coordination among all field units," said JCP (L&O) Babloo Kumar.
DCP (South) Nipun Agarwal and senior officers supervising the deployment said a total of more than 300 personnel have been positioned at the Jamboree police station and outposts, while over 200 traffic police officers will manage vehicular movement and pedestrian flow around the sprawling venue.
"Inside the campus, four fire stations have been activated to handle any emergency, and two dedicated PRVs will conduct continuous patrolling to ensure prompt response. An additional 90 LIU intelligence personnel are stationed across the grounds to strengthen vigilance," read a Lucknow Police press note....
