Raju Pal murder case: Orders issued to shift three convicts from Naini Jail
PRAYAGRAJ, May 2 -- Three criminals, serving a sentence at the Naini Central Jail, in the murder case of MLA Raju Pal, are to be shifted to other jails of the state.
The government issued these instructions on the complaint of Chail MLA Pooja Pal, wife of Raju Pal. The Samajwadi Party MP Pooja Pal had expressed a threat to her life from the three accused Abid, Mohammad Javed and Gulshan.
According to the order issued by joint secretary Shiv Gopal Singh, Abid was moved to District Jail, Baghpat, Mohammad Javed alias Javid was transferred to District Jail, Aligarh, and Gul Hasan was shifted to District Jail, Agra. On January 25, 2005, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal was shot dead by members of the Atiq Ahmed gang.
The three accused Abid, Mohammad Javed alias Javid and Gulshan alias Gul Hasan were convicted by the court. After the conviction, all three convicts were kept in the district jail Prayagraj....
