Lucknow, Nov. 14 -- Union defence minister Rajnath Singh will arrive in his parliamentary constituency, Lucknow, on Saturday, on a two-day visit, during which he will unveil the statue of freedom fighter Uda Devi Pasi. He will attend the martyrdom day programme of Uda Devi at Pasi Chauraha, Vrindavan Colony, on Sunday. District president of the BJP, Anand Dwivedi, said that after arrival at the Lucknow airport, the defence minister will travel to Sadar area and participate in an event at the Sanskrit Pathshala auditorium, and thereafter, he will attend another event in Rajajipuram. The BJP will celebrate the martyrdom day of Veerangana Uda Devi Pasi on November 16 as Pasi Swabhiman Diwas. On this occasion, Rajnath Singh and chief minister Yogi Adityanath will unveil a 12-foot-tall, 6-tonne statue of Veerangana Uda Devi at Pasi Chowk, Sector 19, Vrindavan Colony.
