Rajfed, NCEL ink deal for promotion of state cooperative products
Jaipur, July 15 -- In a step towards expanding market access for Rajasthan's cooperative sector, the Rajasthan State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd. (Rajfed) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Cooperative Export Ltd. (NCEL) on Monday.
The agreement is expected to pave the way for products from cooperative societies in the state to reach international markets.
The MoU was signed at Rajfed's headquarters in Jaipur by managing director Tikam Chand Bohra and NCEL managing director Anupam Kaushik.
Officials said that the collaboration would allow cooperative societies to participate in export activities and help them gain a foothold in international trade.
"This partnership is a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to empower the cooperative sector. It will not only provide international exposure to local products but also boost the income of cooperative members," said Bohra.
The initiative is part of the "Sahkar Se Samriddhi" (Prosperity through Cooperation) programme, being implemented under the leadership of minister of state for cooperation Gautam Kumar Dak and the guidance of principal secretary and registrar, Cooperative Societies, Manju Rajpal.
Rajfed has already signed MoUs with the Indian Seed Cooperative Ltd. and National Cooperative Organics Ltd., and has been designated the nodal agency for multi-state cooperatives by the state government....
