Udaipur, Dec. 7 -- Armed intruders broke into a house and killed a 65-year-old woman and her 5-year-old grandson with sharp weapons on Friday night in Semari area's Gudasar village, police said, adding the attackers cut the woman's legs and took away the silver anklets she was wearing. Around 11pm, neighbours heard screams coming from the house. When they came, they found both victims lying in pools of blood. The attackers had allegedly severed Gauri's legs while removing the anklets. Police suspect that two to three criminals were involved in the crime. Surendra had arrived at his grandmother's house only a few days earlier. Upon receiving information, Salumbar SP Rajesh Yadav, Deputy Chandmal Singariya and the FSL team reached the spot around 7am on Saturday. SP Rajesh Yadav said, "Prima facie, it appears that an attempt was made to portray the case as a robbery. There is no sign of theft from inside the house. The elderly woman's legs were cut only to show that the silver anklets were looted. Both the victims suffered serious head injuries, and these injuries caused their deaths." htc...
