Raj vision document eyes Rs.30L-cr economy by 2030
Jaipur, Aug. 24 -- Rajasthan cabinet on Saturday approved the vision document for 2047 with a target to make the state a Rs.30 lakh crore economy by 2030, said officials.
Cabinet minister for industry and sports, Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, said, "During today's cabinet meeting, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has approved the vision document of 2047. This document has mixed some targets for the government every year. Our primary target will be to make Rajasthan a Rs.30 lakh crore economy by 2030."
He further added: "This document has laid out a clear plan for 13 sectors of development under 45 departments including education, skill, employment, industry, energy, agriculture etc. It will help boost the employment and academic opportunities for the youth in every village. Meanwhile, it will also make a strong image of Rajasthan nationally and internationally."
The cabinet also approved 10 projects in the renewable energy sector, said the minister. "Under these projects, at least 2,500 MW solar energy will be produced in Rajasthan in upcoming years. During these projects, five saplings will be planted for each tree being chopped. Solar energy will also be used in the schools and other sectors in the areas where these projects will be done," said Rathore during a presser after the meeting.
He said, "Rajasthan has potential to supply renewable energy across the country. We will make this state an energy hub in future. We will also ensure that the citizens get round-the-clock power supply during summer."
An amendment has also been approved by the cabinet on Saturday in Rajasthan's Toll Tax Policy under which the toll charges on the express highways will now be lesser.
"CM has also approved a Rs.3,000 cr mega project on Jaipur's Tonk Road where a convention centre will be built in three years to boost the industry and employment," the minister said.
"Aiming to boost the youth employment opportunities in the state, we have also approved Vishwakarma Yuva Protsahan Yojana 2025 on Saturday. This scheme will make the youth self-reliant. Under this scheme, the government will provide them loans and subsidies to initiate their own start-ups. A Rs 150 crore budget has been allocated for this scheme which will also create local jobs," Rathore added.
Meanwhile, the parliamentary affairs minister Jogaram Patel also announced that a Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) will be set up in the state in line with the idea of All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
"It will be an expansion to the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) where all the superspeciality infrastructure like AIIMS will be available. It is our responsibility to ensure a better and easy access to the healthcare facilities for the public in Rajasthan. In the next assembly session in September, we will bring a bill on RIMS. The cancer care unit of the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital will also be working under RIMS," said Patel.
He also added that the government will table the three bills that have been sent to the select committee during the last session in March.
"The government is also working to implement the One State One Election Policy soon. We have discussed about the process in today's cabinet meeting as well. Our delimitation process in at the last stage."...
