Railways to run three special trains to Gaya Ji for Pitri Paksha Mela celebration
GAYA JI, Sept. 2 -- Providing relief to the lakhs of devotees coming to Gaya Ji for performing Pind Daan of their ancestors during the famous 15-day Pitri Paksha Mela, railways has announced to run three Pitri Paksha special trains.
The trains from Jabalpur, Rani Kamalapati (Bhopal) and Sogaria (Kota) to Gaya Ji will run on different dates in September, an East central Railway (ECR) press communique informed.
As per the announced schedule, Rani Kamlapati-Gaya Special Train (01661) will leave from Rani Kamlapati station on September 7, 12 and 17 at 1.20 pm. It will reach Gaya Ji at 9.30 am the next day. On return, train number 01662 will leave from Gaya Ji on September 10, 15 and 20 at 2.15 pm and will reach Rani Kamalapati at 10.45 am the next day. This train will have total 20 AC-2, AC-3, sleeper and general coaches Jabalpur-Gaya Pitri Paksha Special Train (01705) will leave from Jabalpur on September 9, 14 and 19 at 7.35 pm and will reach Gaya Ji at 9.30 am the next day. On return, train number 01706 will leave from Gaya Ji on September 8, 13 and 18 at 2.15 pm and reach Jabalpur at 4.15 am the next day.
Sogaria (Kota)-Gaya Ji Pitri Paksha Special (09817) will leave from Sogaria on September 6, 13 and 20 at 11.10 pm and reach Gaya Ji at 11.45 pm the next day.
Return train number 09818 will leave from Gaya Ji on September 8, 15 and 22 at 1.15 pm and reach Sogaria at 1.10 am the next day. It will have AC-1, AC-2, AC-3, Economy, Sleeper and General class coaches. The trains will have stoppages at Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay junction, Sasaram, Dehri-on-sone and Anugrah Narayan Road railway stations. Over 23 lakh pilgrims from India and abroad had reached Gaya Ji during Pitri Paksha last year. The state government and district administration had made all arrangements to provide them with the best available facilities in the Pitri Paksha Mahasangamam, starting September 6 this year, district magistrate Shashank Subhankar said....
