LUCKNOW, Aug. 2 -- The King George's Medical University (KGMU), will come up with a new 12-storey building very soon, on the premises of Queen Mary's Hospital, which is the gynaecology wing of the KGMU. The building will have several beds of maternal intensive care unit (ICU) and neonatal intensive care unit along with other general wards, university authorities said. According to the media cell in charge of KGMU, Dr KK Singh, the area where the building is to be constructed is around one lakh square feet. The building will also offer several extra beds for patients who struggle to get admitted in the old building due to limited beds and too much load. This will curb the load from the old building which is functional at present, Dr Singh stated. To manage medical facilities at such a huge building, around 500 staff members will be deployed, including doctors, nursing officers, technicians and other employees, he added....
