Pvt bank deputy manager dies by suicide in city
LUCKNOW, March 31 -- A deputy manager of a private bank allegedly died by suicide after shooting himself at his residence in Gudamba area on Monday morning, police said.
According to an official statement, the incident came to light around 9 am after a call was received via Dial 112 reporting a death in Adil Nagar. Police teams rushed to the spot and found the man with a gunshot injury to the head, and a firearm was recovered from the scene.
Police added that the man was working as a deputy manager at a private bank branch in the Aliganj area. Preliminary inquiry suggests he used a licensed .32 bore pistol.
Gudamba police stated that forensic and field unit teams were called to collect evidence, and the body was sent for postmortem. Gudamba SHO Prabhatesh Srivastav said further legal action is underway, and statements of family members and colleagues will be recorded.
While the exact reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained, police sources indicated that a possible financial irregularity at the bank is being examined as one of the angles. Officials, however, said all aspects are under investigation. htc...
