PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 15 -- Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) State University (PRSU) will host its 8th convocation ceremony on Monday, beginning at 10:30 am. The event will be presided over by the governor of Uttar Pradesh and chancellor of the university, Anandiben Patel. Sanjay Shrinet, chairman of the UP Public Service Commission, will attend as the chief guest. Special guests will include Yogendra Upadhyay, minister for higher education, and Rajni Tiwari, minister of state for higher education, UP, informed PRSU vice-chancellor Prof Akhilesh Kumar Singh. During the convocation, 92,109 students will be awarded degrees, including: 52,037 undergraduate students; 21,312 postgraduate students and 18,760 professional course students. In addition, 187 top-performing students will be honored with medals, including 55 gold medals, 65 silver medals and 67 bronze medals. Among the medal recipients is Swati Singh, the top scorer in MA Ancient History, who will receive the prestigious Chancellor's Medal.
