Dehradun, July 21 -- The Dehradun police on Sunday started an investigation into a case pertaining to an alleged attempt to convert a 21-year-old woman under coercion in connection with the Uttar Pradesh conversion racket linked to Chhangur Baba. On Friday, the police registered a first information report (FIR) against five people in connection with the case. The accused were identified as Abdur Rahman, a resident of Dehradun, Abu Taliv, a resident of Muzaffarnagar in UP, Ayan, Aman, residents of Delhi and Shweta, a resident of Goa. Virendra Chaudhary, station house officer at Ranipokhari police station, said: "Two accused Rahman and Taliv were arrested by UP ATS in connection with a case registered at Agra, while the search for three other accused is underway. We are gathering information about them and their role in the case." Chhangur Baba and his aide Neetu alias Nasreen were arrested by the UP police's Anti-Terrorism Squad on July 5.
