Rudrapur, July 19 -- Health department has set up an inquiry into the death of an elderly woman and her granddaughter after consuming wild poisonous mushrooms in Munsiyari of Pithoragarh district. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has constituted a three member team for the inquiry. Meanwhile, a Nepalese woman took her last breath in STH Haldwani on Wednesday night. She also had consumed wild plant Linguda (Fiddlehead fern). Four women lost their lives after consuming poisonous vegetation since July 11 in Kumaon region. "I have constituted a team of doctors to probe into the death of two women who had died after consuming wild mushrooms.
