New Delhi, Aug. 15 -- President Droupadi Murmu and defence minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday met with 30 meritorious higher secondary students from tribal communities of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as part of a seven-day national integration tour. As part of the tour, organised by Andaman & Nicobar Command (ANC), the students will also witness Independence Day celebrations at Red Fort. According to a statement by the defence ministry, Singh "exhorted the students to remain rooted in human values and lay equal emphasis on building their character alongside academic pursuits."
